FEED YOUR SPIRIT

“So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” – Galatians 5:16

We all face battles between the spirit and the flesh. We are to be commited to feeding our spirit with the Word of God, prayer, and worship, and to starve the flesh by denying the temptations and desires that lead us away from God’s best for us. It’s harder to live according to the things that will help us grow spiritually, rather than things that will drag us into worldly distractions. Feeding our spirit means making intentional choices that draw us closer to God—studying the Bible, seeking His presence, and allowing His truth to shape our mind and heart. Starving the flesh means resisting the pull of sinful desires, the things that might seem good in the moment but ultimately lead to emptiness and separation from Christ. Live with purpose, to make every day count by seeking the Kingdom of Heaven and leaving behind the world behind. Choosing to feed your spirit is choosing to grow in your relationship with Jesus. It’s about turning our attention to what really matters, living out the fruits of the Spirit, and walking in a way that reflects God’s love. It’s a reminder that the flesh is temporary, but the soul is infinite.
